Article Abstract:
Tracor Systems Technologies, Inc., Rockville, Md. has been awarded a $13,999,137 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering development, design, procurement, fabrication, configuration, installation and integration, logistics, maintenance, and other life cycle support for the Navy's Physical, Electronic, and Computer Sensor Systems (PECSS) program. The PECSS programs include: surveillance and detection systems, supervisory control and data acquisition applications, electronic security and sensor systems, information systems security, and command, control, communications, computer, and intelligence (C4I) systems and equipment. This contract contains four one-year options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value to $90,392,936. Work will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and at various DOD, federal, state, and local government installations world-wide on a as needed basis. The contract is expected to be completed by August 1999. Contract funding is from multiple sources and not expected to expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 114 offers solicited and four offers received. Lockheed Martin Corp., Lockheed Martin Information Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $16,984,185 cost-plus-award-fee delivery order against an existing indefinite-quantity contract. This contract will identify, procure, and integrate available commercial off-the-shelf reconfigurable and desktop battle simulator systems at the Army simulation test bed facilities to allow them to support emerging Army requirements in the advanced concepts and requirements; research, development and acquisition; and training, exercises and military operations domains. Work will be performed in Fort Knox, Ky. (20%); Fort Sill, Okla. (20%); Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. (20%); Fort Bliss, Texas (15%); Fort Hood, Texas (15%); and Orlando, Fla. Human Resources Research Organization, Alexandria, Va., is being awarded a $1,481,165 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for design and development of personnel selection and classification (SC) methodologies, databases, technologies, and computer systems. The objective of the contract is to optimize the military person/job match as demonstrated by cost benefits analyses. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $8,144,302. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Va. (60%); Millington, Tenn.
