Article Abstract:
SEMCOR, Inc., Mt. Laurel, N.J., is being awarded a $5,473,581 indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing to provide systems engineering, integration, installation and technical support for ashore and afloat communications and information systems and networks, such as the Joint Maritime Communications Strategy (JMCOMS), Joint Maritime Command Information System (JMCIS), Naval Base Level Information Infrastructure (BLII) and associated radio frequency and terrestrial, fixed and mobile communications. This contract contains four options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $29,065,336. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 105 proposals solicited and one offer received. Raytheon Systems Company, Richardson, Texas, is being awarded a $6,039,692 firm-fixed-price contract to provide 18 AN/USC-54(V) VME integrated communication systems and spare parts. The systems include external KGV (kryptographic variable) panels, single board modems, single board processor multiplexer boards, single board receiver/exciter boards, high power amplifier controller, VICS power supply and generic front-end communication's processor card sets for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston, UHF Satellite Communications Branch. Work will be performed in Richardson, Texas, and is expected to be completed in January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
