Article Abstract:
J. F. Taylor, Inc., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $17,306,548 firm-fixed-price contract for the design and manufacture of two AH-1W trainers and associated spare parts, support equipment, and data for the government of Taiwan under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md. (85%) and Taiwan (15%), and is expected to be completed March 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 50 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-98-C-0045).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $10,336,000 modification to previously awarded contract (N00019-93-C-0051)to upgrade the government of Finland's F/A-18 C/D weapons tactics trainer under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. Work will be performed in Arlington, Texas (80%), and St. Louis, Mo., (20%), and is expected to be completed by Nov. 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
