Article Abstract:
Kaiser Electronics, Inc., San Jose, Calif., is being awarded a $5,044,314 firm-fixed-price contract for 33 head-up display (HUD) systems for the F/A-18C/D aircraft. The HUD is an optical and electronic device which projects flight information in symbolic form into the pilots forward field of view. This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (90%) and the government of Finland (10%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N00383-97-G-002D).

Ceridian Corp., Computing Devices International, Bloomington, Minn., is being awarded a $9,087,420 firm-fixed-price delivery order under an existing requirements contract for the procurement of 60 AN/AYK-14(V) standard airborne computers in support of the F/A-18E/F aircraft program. Work will be performed in Bloomington, Minn., and is expected to be completed by March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
