Article Abstract:
Booz-Allen & Hamilton, McLean, Va., is being awarded an $8,048,829 cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort, services contract for technical and engineering services in support of communications-electronics advanced technology (CEAT) systems. This contract will provide an estimated level of effort of 78,000 man-hours of technical and engineering services for the research, design, development, integration, installation, test & evaluation, fielding, analysis, maintenance, material procurement, training, and logistics of CEAT systems. Work will be performed in McLean, Va. (90%), and at a variety of government installations (10%), and is expected to be completed by September 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $3,400,000 will expire at the end of the fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with 89 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Div., St. Inigoes, Md., is the contract awarding activity (N00421-99-C-1011).

KAPL, Inc., Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Schenectady, N.Y., is being awarded a modification to previously awarded contract N00024-91-C-4355 for naval nuclear propulsion work. $57,450,000 is being placed today against the execution of a $155,784,314 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract modification. Work will be performed in Schenectady, N.Y. Contract funds in the amount of $81,690,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. No completion date or additional information is provided on nuclear propulsion contracts. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
