Forschner wants to employ 1,000 persons in Uherske Hradiste

Forschner (Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic), automotive cable manufacturer, plans to build a new plant. The number of the firm's employees should increase to 1,000 shortly compared to the current 400 persons. The company has operated on the premises of Mesit (Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic) so far. The construction of the new plant will be started during 1H 2001. Commissioning is scheduled for the spring of 2002.

Textron can receive subsidies

Textron Automotive BV (TABV) (Brno, Czech Republic), automotive component manufacturer, plans to build a new plant in Hodonin, the Czech Republic. The investment cots on the project will exceed CEK 213 mil. The Antimonopoly Office has agreed an exception from the ban on public support up to CEK 102.89 mil for TABV. The new plant will ensure the production and assemblies of automotive components.

Article Abstract:
Nemak (Mexico), aluminium car-engine head and block manufacturer, plans to find a new locality for the construction of its plant. The firm has not succeeded in the realization of its investment project in Plzen, the Czech Republic, for the reason of the protests of environmentalists. Currently, it is considering the construction of the plant in the industrial zone near Nelahozeves in the region Melnik, the Czech Republic. The piece of land with an area of 21 ha is owned by Kamen (Zbraslav, Czech Republic). Nemak is interested in 20 ha. The new plant should set up 1,400 jobs within three years. Nemak plans to invest CEK 6 bil in the plant within five years. The plant should become the largest supplier of aluminium engine heads and blocks for prominent European automotive companies.
