New Irish law still expected

The Irish Amusement Equipment Association (IAEA) stated that it was in contact with the Irish Department of Justice, the government department responsible for the gaming legislation, and that it had not set aside the necessary amendments to the 1956 Gaming and Lotteries Act. According to IAEA, amendments were still on the active list and a huge priority was being given to civil law reform.

UK lottery shake-up
Article Abstract:
The UK government has announced that the public would have a bigger say over the causes that would receive National Lottery money, under proposals designed to halt years of declining sales. Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell felt that the organizer Camelot could lose its monopoly if different companies are given the chance to run lottery games.
