Office politics
Article Abstract:
The market for office space in Manchester, England, is benefiting from an increase in demand as economic growth continues and helps boost demand for offices from business services and financial companies. There has been an increase in supply of second hand space in Manchester during the decade to 1997 and this is ceasing to be a problem with increased demand in 1997. Growth in Manchester's financial services industry has helped alleviate the problem of oversupply.

High-rise rents
Article Abstract:
The vacancy rate for commercial real estate in the Docklands area of London, England, is dropping and rents are rising. This is linked to a stronger United Kingdom economy, and mergers producing large companies, while Docklands provides cheaper office space than in the City area of London. There is a large proportion of modern, air-conditioned office stock, and transportation links are improving. Institutional investors are starting to be attracted to the area.
