Omicron PowerSystems
Article Abstract:
The Omicron PowerSystems is a good software package for accounting applications. The day-to-day processing of sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers reveals a flexible and versatile system. The capability to allocate income and expenditures to complex cost center structures is especially noteworthy. Minor deficiencies are the lack of instructions for system configuration and loading the software, awkward screen handling techniques, and poor error messages. The 1,250 pounds sterling multi-company package runs on MS-DOS or UNIX, requiring an IBM-PC or compatible. Memory of 256k and 10 MB storage capacity are needed.
