Ceske Radiokomunikace: higher dividends
Article Abstract:
Ceske radiokomunikace (CRA) (Prague, Czech Republic), radiocommunication firm, will pay higher dividends for 2000 than it planned. It will pay dividends of CEK 395 per share for 2000 compared to the originally planned CEK 324 per share. The firm will pay total dividends of over CEK 12 bil for 2000 compared to the originally planned about CEK 10 bil. In 2000 CRA saw a profit of CEK 15 bil. The growth of the profit was influenced by a compensation for the loss of a majority stake in the operator Radiomobil to the benefit of the consortium CMobil. The consortium will increase its stake in Radiomobil from 49% to 60% to the detriment of CRA. A 51% state stake in CRA should be sold by the end of 2001. The main investor interested in the purchase is TeleDanmark (Denmark) which is offering about CEK 9 bil for the stake.
