Optimal portfolio choice for long-horizon investors with nontradable labor income
Article Abstract:
This article evaluates how portfolio choice is effected by risky labor income and retirement. The author finds that optimal allocation to stocks is larger for employed investors than for retired, however an increase in labor income risk encourages investors to save and reduces employed investors stock allocation to that of retired investors.

This article evaluates how portfolio management is influenced by consensus recommendations. The authors find that returns are diminished when portfolios are not balanced frequently; to capture excess returns high trading rates are required.
