Which way for fieldbus?
Article Abstract:
The fieldbus is a two way communications link between intelligent electronic devices. It enables efficient automation of processing plant. There is no accepted international standard for fieldbusses. The International Electrotechnical Commmittee (IEC)/ Instrument Society of America (ISA) have held the lead on standardisation since 1985 but progress is slow and European concerns, FIP and Profilbus, have produced prototype applications for their own standards. Another challenger, the InterOperable System Project (ISP) was launched in Sep 1992.

Ribonuclease A
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the applications of recombinant DNA technology and nucleic acid chemistry on the study of the chemistry and biology of ribonuclease A. RNAse A maintains its integrity and solubility during purification processes while its three-dimensional structure is fully encoded by amino acid sequences. The methods allow researchers to study the functions of enzymic residues and exploit the use of RNase A in biotechnology and medicine applications.
