Unwarranted low prices
Article Abstract:
Investment trust warrants give investors the right to buy shares at a set price, and Hargreaves Landsown, a UK financial adviser, argues that they represent good value for UK Investors. Some warrants are related to trusts which invest outside the UK, so are not affected by UK share prices, and investment trust warrants have fallen in 1995 in part due to a correction from a previous high price. Investors should thus be cautious and assess warrants on an individual basis.

The best and worst unit trust managers
Article Abstract:
The historic performance of unit trusts cannot be a guarantee that they will do well in the future but does give some indication of how they could perform. Charges are not the only factor which investors should be concerned about. Consistent performance should be sought. Takeovers and mergers can cause problems and affect the performance of the stronger partner. Mass market funds tend not to perform well. Providers using independent financial advisers tend to do well.
