Overcoming computer-phobia one key to advancement
Article Abstract:
Computerizing the cash management function - treasury management information systems (TMIS) - is an inevitability within the next few years. Important consequences of TMIS include: instant access to recent data, automation of time-consuming calculations, greater responsibilities afforded to fewer personnel, and increased productivity. Managers who are knowledgable about computers and their relationship to treasury operations will gain a broader view of operations; be capable of more precise forecasting; and will have more time to become involved in higher-level, long-range activities.
