RCO: tough times ahead
Article Abstract:
RCO manages catering, security and cleaning services and has benefited from reducing staff and wage levels when contracts commenced. The company is faced with the effect of a 1994 ruling which has upheld labor union rights for employees moving from the public sector to a private employer. This has led to provisions to deal with claims for unfair dismissal. The company is restructuring but benefits may not appear for between three and four years.
