Pentagon grant targets mustard gas
Article Abstract:
The Department of Defense (DOD) has offered Chris Landry, a researcher form Vermont University, a three year $360,000 grant to develop a handy way to neutralize mustard gas. Landry's work, which involves developing a filter through which the gas would pass and emerge as a nontoxic 'reusable solvent', would also help the US comply with the Chemical Weapons Convention that calls for elimination of mustard gas stockpiles.
