Paxus Professional Systems Ltd's Pertax is a personal taxation software package for both the DOS and XENIX operating environments. The program deals with all areas of personal taxation and produces: Inland Revenue approved income tax returns with backing schedules; statements of overall tax position; earning's election reports of spouses; and Lloyd's Special Reserve Fund computations. It also can record appeal hearings, create management reports, and offers both batch posting and word processing capability. The program produces excellent facsimile tax returns, but it needs improvement in its overall presentation standards.

Interactive book-keeping tutorial
Article Abstract:
The Institute of Chartered Accountants for Scotland has developed an interactive bookkeeping tutorial software computer package to teach basic accounting practice. The entire package costs 250 pounds sterling and consists of 15 lessons, including: double-entry - balance sheet; balancing off accounts, and double entry - profit and loss account. The package runs on IBM-compatible computers with either an OS/2 or MS-DOS environment with a minimum of 256 kilobytes of memory.
