Political and regulatory risk in water utilities: Beta sensitivity in the United Kingdom
Article Abstract:
The authors ascertain inherent risk of investing in water utility securities. The risk is found to vary over time and that political and regulatory factors affect the risk. Overestimation of risk leads to excess income.
