President, Consumer Imaging: Bob Keegan
Article Abstract:
Eastman Kodak Co's Consumer Imaging Pres Bob Keegan believes that digital capability is one factor that is driving excitement in traditional photography. Other factors that are driving the trend are a very robust economy and growth initiatives in films such as the Max film or the Advantix/APS. Keegan also does not agree with the prediction that Picture CD would be a $100-million business in 2000. Instead, he predicts it to be a $30-million business for the first half of 2000.

The paper chase
Article Abstract:
Indigo NV Chmn and CEO Benny landa discussed the implications of the new form of production printing, called Photo-e-Print series of digital presses that it is launching. The series differentiates itself from conventional photography through the use of the ink on paper process. One of the advantages of using the machines is the ability to print on a huge range of substrates. The cost is also a bit less than silver halide and will go down in the central lab where there is more volume.
