Prospects for the oil and gas industry in Scotland
Article Abstract:
A recent stabilization in oil and gas prices in 1987 and 1988 after a recession in 1986 has renewed confidence in the North Sea oil and gas industry, prompting many companies to develop new fields. The stabilization is positive news for the economy. About 800 firms are functioning in Scotland that are oil-related, and the industry also influences government policy because of the large amount of revenues it has generated.

The remuneration of trustees
Article Abstract:
The Scottish Bankruptcy Act of 1985 spells out in detail the renumeration that trustees of bankrupt companies can expect, where it will come from and other details of the trusteeship. It is much more carefully constructed than the Insolvency Act of 1985.
