The Body of Knowledge in the Public Relations Profession
Article Abstract:
Every profession has its commonly held information and procedures. This body of knowledge serves its practitioners. Some claim that public relations is not a profession because it draws on knowledge from many disciplines, such as social psychology, business, communication, journalism and others. But other professions are inter-disciplinary; for example, medicine draws from chemistry, biology, statistics and other fields.

The Tenth Public Relations World Congress will take place June 3-7 1985 at the International RA1 Congress Centre in Amsterdam. The theme will be 'Between People and Power - Geography of Public Relations Trends'. The Tenth World Congress is open to all interested parties.
