Article Abstract:
Though the idea for paperless office has been touted for over two decades, companies have been slow in putting it in practice. Some have used EDI (Electronic Data Exchange) for processing of invoices and payments, but its high cost and difficulty in implementation have discouraged others. However, Web-based technology is offering companies cost-effective solutions, like electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP).
