Lack of staff threatens technology's advance
Article Abstract:
United Kingdom technology companies could be affected by a skill shortage , according to a report from Price Waterhouse. There are some 1,200 companies in this sector in the UK, and the study examined 120 of them. More than half the companies surveyed had problems in staff recruitment, and there is also a shortage of funds for product development and growth. Smaller companies are worse hit. Funding for growth could become easier to find as US companies show increasing interest in the UK.
