Radio successfully used to promote New Life section
Article Abstract:
Ohio-based publication Dayton Daily News decided to combine lifestyle information typically scattered throughout the newspaper's many sections into one, seven-day LIFE section. Each day, the LIFE section would feature a specific theme that would appeal to readers. The newspaper management used section personalities on radio air during drive time each morning to promote the change. The campaign resulted in 100 new subscriptions while eliciting an exceptionally positive reaction from readers regarding the editorial change.
