Reliability of myoelectric trapezius muscle activity in repetitive light work
Article Abstract:
A study examines the reliability of selected electromyographic (EMG) parameters to rate the response of trapezius muscle to repetitive manual work. Findings show that the reliability coefficient is 0.85 for EMG gaps and is 0.59 for static muscle activity. Median power frequency declines with low-level muscle activity due to muscle fatigue. Neither the time of the day or the day of the week affect the measurements of EMG gaps, static muscle activity or mean median frequency. Short gaps in muscle activity can help to prevent the myalgia related to exposure to repetitive light muscular work.

Modular data logger system for physical workload measurements
Article Abstract:
Direct technical measurements of physical workload help in the studies relating to work-related musculoskeletal disorders. A high capacity data logger is developed for electromyography, inclinometry and goniometry that do not require data reduction and are easy to operate.

The use of continuous exposure data for predicting CTS in fish processing operators
Article Abstract:
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is one of the most commonly reported and studied work related to musculoskeletal disorders. The utility of using continuous exposure data and to identify interaction effects of risk factors for predicting CTS is evaluated.
