Renold: going up the gears
Article Abstract:
Renold is a UK company which produces gears and chains. The company focuses on fork lift trucks and other individual product areas, and production is geared to orders, following problems in the early 1990s recession. The UK accounts for 45% of production, so the group benefits from the low value of pound sterling in international markets, despite some production being in Germany. The group has controlled costs and should benefit from a rise in sales.
