Repetitive work and the monitoring methods of operators in various production situations during day- and night-shifts
Article Abstract:
Skills of operators performing repetitive machine-monitoring and feeding work in customizing monitoring methods to their multiple needs and effects on the body of operators during a 24 hour period were studied. The technical and time limitations left workers very little room to maneuver. Night shift operators showed more efficiency in tackling difficult problems than the morning shift, maybe because at night employees were more likely to decide a situation was critical.
