Researching revenue rulings and private letter rulings on disk
Article Abstract:
It is essential for tax consultants to have IRS announcements, Revenue Rulings and Procedures, Private Letter Ruling and other tax-related documents on hand whenever they are needed. Practitioners who need to research up-to-date tax issues but who balk at the cost of CD-ROM or LEXIS services should find two new software packages from Kleinrock Publishing useful. The 'Revenue Rulings on Disk' program provides access to all Revenue Rulings released since 1954 until 1991. It is available for $199 per program, excluding update fees. The 'PLRs on Disk' program contains private letter rulings which can be retrieved by week instead of by year. Subscription to the program costs $149 per year if on a monthly basis and $199 per year if on a bi-weekly basis.
