SBIRS satellite passes 'Jitter' test
Article Abstract:
A key test was passed on a component of the Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), a developing part of the US nation's missile defense system to observe its ability to watch on visual target. The 'jitter' test passed on one of several types of SBIRS satellites revealed that it could stay focused on its target despite routine physical distractions such as the vibration of moving parts.

Intelligence system still needs fixes - Senator
Article Abstract:
The creation of the office of National Intelligence Director, signed into law in December 2005, is an attempt to redress the deficiencies in the U.S. intelligence system. Experts, including Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga), however believe that much more needs to be done to ensure that past intelligence failures are not repeated.
