Putting down roots?
Article Abstract:
Residential real estate developments in Docklands, London, England, have seen a boom in sales, but have not always helped the social aspects of the region. Some housing is so expensive that only wealthy foreigners can afford to buy it, and it is often purchased as an investment and left empty. Some employment has been generated in service areas such as catering, cleaning and secretarial work, though many higher paid posts have been filled by incomers.
