Virginia Rowe, the Partner-Associate Media Director at Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide Inc, is taking advantage of the advent of information technology to create effective business-to-business advertising campaigns. Her recent advertising campaign for IBM Corp's Lotus Domino, which was launched in 1st qtr 1997, consisted of an eight-page insert that appeared in The Wall Street Journal. Another 700,000 copies were inserted in Information Week and Computerworld. Results showed an increase in product awareness.

Epstein hones clients' edge with knowledge

The third annual Best and Brightest Media Strategists Awards has granted Wilma Epstein the Veteran Award for 1997. Epstein, who is the current Senior Partner-Global Media Group Director at Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide Inc, was a winner of the Best and Brightest Media Strategists Awards for 1995. She has had 20 years of experience in the advertising industry which she began with West, Weir and Barrell and BBDO Worldwide.

Bombing stuns ad industry

The advertising industry mourns the loss of Thomas J. Mosser, age 50. Mosser, who was appointed general manager of Young and Rubicam Inc. nine days prior to his death, died Dec. 10, 1994 after a bomb mailed to his North Caldwell, NJ, home exploded. Prior to his new post, Mosser was vice chairman and chief operating officer at Burson-Marsteller and executive vice president at Young and Rubicam.
