Scholars: Send more anti-terror money to high-risk states
Article Abstract:
A paper published by Veronique de Rugy of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), and James Jay Carafano, of the Heritage Foundation says that the US Congress should change homeland security funding procedures so that more funds go to the highest-risk areas, which also may happen to be the most densely populated. The paper discloses a fact that the effects of the current homeland security funding system are jarring, with less populated areas often receiving a disproportionate amount of money.

Dropping extra JSF engine by GE/Rolls Sparks Hill debate: Killing Aerial tanker lease wasted billions
Article Abstract:
Some members of Congress violated a Pentagon decision to abandon plans for extra supplier of jet engines for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), saving $1.8 billion of taxpayers' money. The debate erupted at a hearing where lawmakers alleged that eliminating a planned $23.5 billion lease of 100 Boeing KC-767 aerial refueling tanker aircraft would cause taxpayers to pay an extra $12 billion and around eight years of lost time, rather than saving money as suggested earlier.
