Sears pleads guilty in Druyun case

Michael Sears, former chief financial officer for The Boeing Co. pleaded guilty in the Darleen Druyun Pentagon acquisitions scandal to one count of aiding and abetting Druyun in her attempt to cash in on her senior Air Force procurement policymaking position. Druyun, who admitted to showing favoritism to Boeing prior to taking a $250,000 job with the company, was sentenced to nine months in prison on a federal conspiracy charge.

Boeing writes off $275 million tanker start-up costs
Article Abstract:
Boeing has stated that the $275 million start up costs for the air force KC-767 aerial tanker will be offset by favorable performance. The aerial tanker deal however was delayed for one year after winning the contract in 2004.
