Sell side activity
Article Abstract:
Citicorp's highly-praised global strategy, corporate repurchases and news of Saudi Prince Alwaleed's accumulation of an 8.85% position in the firm have helped in revaluating the company to a higher level. Some analysts suggest that the firm's shares should be valued as a global consumer products company instead of as a financial services firm. The increase in insider selling at the company, which is divergent from Wall Street speculations, may have potential adverse effects in the near future.

U.S. equities catch cold
Article Abstract:
The volatility of the Asian stock market has affected the US equity markets as well as shown by the Hang Seng which reported a drop of 10% in only one day. The conventional indicators are turning negative which has resulted also in the deteriorating liquidity of US equity investors as well. Despite the fact that the equity funds have shown a marked improvement shown by new offerings which reached $12 billion, more than twice the previous week's peak of $5.8 billion, caution is still warranted.

Mood may be shifting on disk drives
Article Abstract:
Stock investors may be interested in the improving growth prospects of computer storage device companies. The rise in stock prices may be attributed to the introduction of new technologies by these companies. Insider trading is specially bullish in companies such as EMC Corp. and Quantum Leap Corp. However, considerable investor resistance to such stocks has prevented computer storage device companies to create a trend in the stock market.
