Shiftwork experience, age and cognitive performance
Article Abstract:
The study is aimed at evaluating the long-term influence of shift-work on verbal memory and speed performances (cognitive abilities). The results show that cognitive functioning tends to be impaired by a long-term exposure to shift work, neurophysical performance tends to decrease with the increase in the duration of exposure to shiftwork.

Office noise and employee concentration: Identifying causes of disruption and potential improvements
Article Abstract:
The effect of various office sounds on employees' concentration and the amount of exposure they had to the noise in order to determine any evidence for habituation are examined. The results indicate that most of the workers were distracted by office noise, but no evidence for habituation to these sounds was found.

Biological and psychological responses to two rapid shiftwork schedules
Article Abstract:
Two groups of workers in the same company, with different shiftwork rotas were studied for biological and psychological responses. It was found that shiftworkers showed consistent changes in cortisol circadian profiles, and had more stress and frequent health problems.
