Sign of the times?
Article Abstract:
United Kingdom investment trusts have to compete with a wide range of product types such as unit trusts and deposit accounts. They may play an important role in the government's planned Stakeholder Pension scheme. Investment trusts offer transparent cost structures, and stockholders in investment trusts have also benefited from improvements in service levels. The Association of Investment Trust Companies has a new director general called Daniel Godfrey, and the association is to give more publicity to investment trusts.

Warrants with the IT factor
Article Abstract:
Warrants can be useful as part of an investment portfolio, despite their reputation for being risky. They offer rights to purchase stocks at set prices and at set times. Investment trusts may include free warrants. Split capital investment trusts may subscribe to particular types of stock such as capital stocks. Warrants can be retained to exercise at a later date, or they can be sold. Warrants can offer benefits to astute investors, though they need to carry out research.
