Site's extras clinch win for Swissair over Air France

Swissair's World Wide Web site was chosen over that of Air France as the better online service based on CLT Research Assoc's survey as part of its Marketing Shoot-Out contest. The Swissair site boasts of better features and a more appealing design while the site of Air France has the edge in terms of flight schedules. Also, Swissair offers more information on its site than does Air France. Air France's site, however, beat Swissair's site in terms of simplicity and ease of administration. Overall, Swissair won over Air France for being more convincing about the quality of its service.

OfficeMax brand beats out equally excellent BT site
Article Abstract:
Seventy-six respondents were surveyed regarding their choice of web sites between that of office supply companies OfficeMax and BT Office Products to order their supplies in. They were also asked to evaluate each site in terms of ease in catalog usage, online help and instructions, product selections, prices and features other than the catalog and overall site. OfficeMax emerged as the winner in all the categories. The result was attributed to the respondents' familiarity with OfficeMax as opposed to BT Office Products, which caters exclusively to businesses.

ZDNet chosen over TechWeb as the site to tell friends about
Article Abstract:
A survey on the two popular sources of computer news and information, Ziff-Davis' ZDNet and CMP Media's Tech Web, was conducted. Results showed that 58 among the 91 respondents prefer the ZDNet (http://www.zdnet.com) site. Sixty-one percent of the panelists stated that the site is recommendable among friends and peers. However, the respondents' opinion towards the two sites' news quality were found to be equal.
