Software due soon to help enable new Navy data system
Article Abstract:
A program manager said that the Navy is approaching an important milestone in a program designed to spread more data, more quickly and more easily, across the service and other military services. The program manager Lorraine, Wilson said that the raw data is not the problem, but providing that data in the way sailors and other U.S. forces can take good advantage of it is the main issue.

Important to make business case for directed energy: Raytheon touts three emerging systems
Article Abstract:
Raytheon Co. is developing and planning to market several directed-energy systems for military and homeland defense applications. Two systems are designed to protect military and civilian commercial aircraft from shoulder-fired weapons and a third is a non-lethal weapon designed to defend military and other assets as well as to conduct urban warfare.
