Some surprises, some disappointments
Article Abstract:
There have been almost 1,200 revisions for UK corporate result forecasts in the Estimate Directory for mid Mar 1997. Two thirds of these revisions have been downgradings, with a third upgradings. Upgradings include Lloyds TSB which has reported results to Dec 1996 leading to 13 brokers from a total of 21 giving upgrades. Downgrades include Premier Farnell which has issued a profit warning and which attributes this to the strength of pound sterling and the weakness of markets.
