Mundt: Aircraft survivability has come a long way
Article Abstract:
Brig. Gen. Stephen Mundt, director of the Army Aviation Task Force stated that the Army has come a long way in fielding aircraft survivability equipment (ASE) aboard their helicopters, compared to the state of ASE right before the terrorist attacks of September 11. He reported that the 2004 Army decision to terminate production of the stealthy RAH-66 Comanche helicopter and use those funds for other aviation priorities enabled the service to more than double its investment in ASE.

Analyst: U.S. should arm Taiwan, not block attack by China
Article Abstract:
The US should sell arms to Taiwan to enable the island to defend itself, but it should also make it very clear that it would not go into war with China over the island. The US has aided Taiwan for decades but it has also maintained strategic ambiguity in its policies towards China and Taiwan over the future of the island.
