Cray unveils would-be solution for DARPA

The US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in 2006 has challenged the computer industry to produce systems that could perform quadrillions of operations per second. DARPA stated it needs such systems in order to tackle hugely complex problems in areas including cryptanalysis, weapons survivability and stealth design, surveillance and reconnaissance and many others.

Airlines slow to pay $21 million owed to DOD
Article Abstract:
A report of the General Accounting Office (GAO) indicates that many major airlines have to pay $21 million worth of unused airline tickets to the Department of Defense (DOD). The GAO report also suggests that airlines are slowing down the process of refunding due to their need for more information or are denying the refund due to their weak financial position.
