Customer centre pays off

The subscription sales team of Ecuadorian newspaper Diario HOY is relying on a telemarketing system to reduce sales costs. The system allows all sales activities to be grouped in one complete Customer Sales and Service Center for handling new subscription sales, renewal activities, customer complaints and other subscription-related activities. However, in a desire to deepen interaction with customers, Diario HOY is planning a more customer-oriented system that would incorporate the telemarketing system.

Campaign targets North Bay, attracts 60 new advertisers
Article Abstract:
The San Francisco Newspaper Agency had three goals when it started the 'Reflecting the Best of the Bay' campaign. These are to increase advertising revenue by creating zoned opportunites in the North Bay for advertisers; recreate the success of the East Bay zone promotion; and increase the presence of the The Chronicle and The Examiner in the North Bay area. The campaign was able to generate 60 new advertising accounts for both newspapers.
