Static and dynamic lifting strength at different reach distances in symmetrical and asymmetrical planes
Article Abstract:
The correlation between physical strength and body posture was quantified in an experiment involving 18 males and 12 females. The subjects underwent stoop lifting and squat lifting to determine the static and dynamic lifting strength at various isometric and isokinetic lifting conditions. The results describe the effect of body position, postural asymmetry and reach of lifting on the human body's maximum attainable strength.
