Stock markets, banks, and growth: panel evidence
Article Abstract:
The effects of stock markets development and bank development on economic growth is studied using a dataset averaged over five-year and a system panel estimator. The results show that financial development is important for economic growth and both markets and banks independently spur economic growth.
