Nestle Canada is testing its new 'A La Carte Menu Selections' frozen foods brand in select Canadian retail stores. The new brand is designed to provide consumers with an alternative to expensive restaurant dining. Distinct packaging has been developed for the line to reinforce the feeling of high quality, specialty food one would find at a bistro. An in- store shopping display case has also been created for the line that will enable buyers to quickly scan and make their selections.

Arizona Republic became the first newspaper in the US to use electronic ink displays to transmit news around Phoenix, AZ. The newspaper installed the first electronic display at a Safeway supermarket. The electronic signs are linked through a computer network, giving Arizona Republic the capability to update news from a single location. The signs incorporate Immedia displays made by E Ink Corp of Cambridge, MA.
