Structure in product line management: the role of formalization in service elimination decisions
Article Abstract:
Formalization in financial institutions' product line elimination decision is explored. A formal survey in UK financial services sector was conducted in order to measure the level of formalization during elimination decision-making, relate formalization to a set of contextual factors, and determine the effects of formalization on the content of elimination process. The results provide important managerial implications and useful insights for future research.
