Subsidiaries and knowledge creation: the influence of the MNC and host country on innovation
Article Abstract:
The focus on subsidiaries is embedded in two knowledge contexts, the internal multinational corporation (MNC) comprised of the head quarters and other subsidiaries and an external environment of regional or host country firms. A hypothesis is developed to suggest that the extent of influences of MNC depends on the characteristics of the knowledge network and the knowledge linkages of the subsidiary with other entities.
