Super marketing
Article Abstract:
The distribution of financial services in the United Kingdom has undergone changes as supermarkets have entered the market and direct marketing concerns are adding to the competition. Virgin Direct and Direct Line are two companies that have altered the nature of the industry. There has been a move toward financial services products that are more transparent and simpler. Traditional providers have been hit by the pensions mis-selling scandal. Supermarkets see their attempt to penetrate the market as more aggressive than previous attempts by retailers.
