Survey reveals US university licensing up, startup formation down
Article Abstract:
The number of licenses executed and net license income in US university licensing has showed considerable growth between fiscal years 2001 and 2003, however, number of starts ups created was 374 in FY2003, down from 424 only two years earlier from 2005. These trends reflect foremost the increasing expertise of university technology transfer officers in touting their technologies to buyers.

Singapore trains biotech workforce abroad
Article Abstract:
A scheme called the Training and Attachment Program (TAP) was started in Singapore to face the demand for personnel in growing biomedical sector. The purpose of TAP is to train Singapore's recent university graduates in the field of biopharmaceuticals manufacturing.
