Susan Kare

Susan Kare is a graphic designer of United States known for her digital icons. A doctorate in fine arts from New York University, Kare designed many graphical components of Apple's Macintosh operating system. She designed most of Microsoft's Windows 3.0, major elements of IBM's Warp, General Magic's controversial MagicCap operating system, and many digital icons for clients, such as Sun and Sony. She also served as a creative director of print collateral for NeXT Computers, where she assisted in the design of NeXT's classic logo. Currently, she is working as an independent contractor.

Statistics show a growing number of girls involved in criminal activities. Girls' violent crime arrests increased by more than 100% while boys' crimes have decreased. The problem is attributed to the loss of cultural inhibitions which deter girls from engaging in crime and violence.
